15th anniversary blog: All set for a year of festivities

Disneyland Resort Paris is fifteen already! It’s hard to believe! Or maybe it’s just that I go too often to realise it? But no, the Resort may not look a day older, thanks to all those little hands that work better than Botox by regularly painting its walls, but in April it will be fifteen all the same and the festivities are set to last a whole year. They don’t tell us, the visitors, everything, but it’s for our own good: it’s called the surprise effect (but that won’t stop me trying to find out!).

Meanwhile, we know the programme:

From 1st April and every afternoon, Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams opens the ball. A show entirely made in France (a little bit of national pride doesn’t hurt!). Eight extravagant floats evoke seven dreams in sound, dance, light, and aromas: imagination, laughter, friendship, fantasy, power, adventure and romance.

And as no party is complete without decoration, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
will be dressed in evening finery! The spires will surrender their
place to Disney characters. Balanced on golden crowns, they will hold
15 candles that will be lit every night by a host of mythical
characters riding in the Disney Characters’ Train (still being built at
the time of writing). This event is called Bougillumination! Tinkerbell
will draw an arabesque over the castle.

In June 2007, there will be two new attractions: Crush’s Coaster and
Cars Quatre Roues Rally. These new attractions will take place in the
Walt Disney Studios Park&req;.

Still in June, the TGV Est high-speed train will arrive in Disney, making it the first European interconnection platform.

That’s all for this year, next year is another story entirely!

2007 will be a vintage year for Disney, I’m sure of it!

It’s not Parade of Dreams, that’s actually a parade at Disneyland California, but rather Disney’s Once upon a Dream parade.

Great Article.
But just to help save any potential confusion, the new parade for the 15th anniversary will be called “Disney’s Once Upon A Dream Parade” or “la parade des reves Disney”.

Walt Disney’s Parade of Dreams was the 50th anniversary parade for Disneyland California.

Hi! Nice blog and nice 15th Anniversary’s WebSite!
I visited DLRP a few years ago, and I really want to go another time, because it was magic… Now, with the three new atracttions, the new parade and the 15th Anniversary it’ll be 5 times magical! I wish I will return to the greatest resort in Europe in 2007/08!

Hi Tristane! Thanks for this wonderful Blog, look amazing. And thanks for giving us some updates for celebrations in Paris. I’m Daniel from Madrid, Spain. I went to Disneyland Paris last weekend and I couldn’t see a thing! Everything is keeped with a extraordinary secret, like Disney used to do So that means I must to return at resort in a few weeks to celebrate the magic. I’m not a teenager but quite! I’m 26 years old and always when I arrive at the Resort I become into a very childish boy hehe because this kind of magic turn the day into something special!

What you told us is for real, Disneyland Paris is always up to date with the Botox guys, look at Plaza Gardens Restaurant or past days at Disneyland Hotel, looks now quite pink like the first day. I have a Passeport Annuel Dream and you know with that one day is never enough!

At last want to thank another time Mademoiselle Tristane for all information and… Happy Birthday Disneyland Resort Paris!!!

hia, and happy birthday to disneyland paris, i have now visited disneyland in paris 10 times in the last 13 years andmy kids enjoy it. i even turn into a child for the few days we come. and im looking foward to be returning in april for the all new parade and to greet more characters. hope we will c more than we have in the past
