In 1997, on 7th May, the Gaumont multiplex cinema opened in the Disney Village, with eight theatres. Not bad. But nothing compared to what would happen next. Two years later, so in 1999 (see how well I can count!), seven more screens were added to the existing eight. And not so long ago, in 2005, a 3-D IMAX theatre was opened. That’s what you call technology…
Completely changing the subject, but still in 1997, for Disney’s 5th birthday the “Château fou” and the Parade “Carnival of Fools” were inaugurated, directly inspired from the Disney animation film “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”.
