When I was little, my mother used to tell me that everything in life is relative… and it’s true.
You see, today, right now, right this second… I wish you a Happy New Year!
I say this because for the last couple of seconds - at the Park at least - it’s already 1st January 2008 and this is a reason to celebrate!
Except that… Except that on a universal level, I’m totally off… And, without looking as far as the universe, and staying on the scale of the world of Disney on the planet, I’m still totally wrong!!
Okay, at the Tokyo Disney Resort, at the precise moment that I’m writing these lines, it’s already 8:00 a.m. on 1st January 2008, so we’re already in the New Year. The same can be said for the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, where it is already 7 a.m. on 1st January.

Last week, as is often the case you’ll say, I was at Disneyland. I was a “parkonaut”, as Almaterra would say (a reader of this blog, who dared me to use this term in an article. So, what do I win?).
With a notebook, pen, a good dose of courage and a few hours in front of me, I set out to ask some other “parkonauts” (that’s twice - do I get double the prize?) from all over the world some questions.

Tristane is a little girl with an underdeveloped sense of courage, rare bouts of boldness and a healthy dose of vertigo. In other words, Tristane is not the perfect candidate for PanoraMagique.
PanoraMagique is THE biggest tethered hot-air balloon. It arrived at Disney&req; Village on 9 April 2005, right at the beginning of the year of Jules Verne - a wonderful coincidence!
At the 15th anniversary celebration at the Disneyland Resort Paris, little Tristane sees the balloon shimmering in the colours of the event and finds it irresistibly divine. So, embracing her pride and throwing logic out the window, she decides to float high in the sky, scoffing at one and all - and especially at her vertigo and fright.

In 1997, on 7th May, the Gaumont multiplex cinema opened in the Disney Village, with eight theatres. Not bad. But nothing compared to what would happen next. Two years later, so in 1999 (see how well I can count!), seven more screens were added to the existing eight. And not so long ago, in 2005, a 3-D IMAX theatre was opened. That’s what you call technology…

After doing the musical arrangements for Robbie Williams‘ last album, Steve Sidwell went straight on to the music for Disneyland Resort Paris’ 15th anniversary. He also composed the sound track for the film Moulin Rouge and accompaniments for Tom Jones, Sting and Elton John. If that’s not a genius, then what is?

… And she’s not the only one to have developed a taste for luxury and clothes by top designers! Sleeping Beauty is wearing Fifi Chachnil, Léonard or Jacques Garcia, Belle swears only by Nathalie Garçon, Cinderella is wearing a Baccarat glass slipper, Ariel takes on airs with Impasse de la Défense, Princess Mary looks smart in Eymeric François, Snow White plays the VIP in Azzedine Alaïa, and so on. And no, I haven’t been drinking!

“Wishes” is a unique combination of sound, light and fireworks, which takes place every night until August 26th in the Disneyland Resort Paris. Christophe Leclercq is the man behind the show.

I’ve had a number of e-mails from you all - with photos naturally. One thing stands out: you’re far more vicious than me, I’m happy to say! So, for game 5, here’s what Carlos suggests. All that’s left for me to say is good luck!
